We’re really excited to reveal our latest major product release – our 2026 Core Range Expansion!
Our first major release since The Signature Series a couple of years ago brings 7 brand new coloured primers and 1 new varnish to our ever popular Core Range!
And not only are we showing off the full range today, we’re announcing that they are going on sale from tomorrow, 29th May 2026!
Between social post comments, surveys, and chatting to you all at shows and conventions, we know there are a ton of coloured primers you want us to make. We’re asked to bring the same great Colour Forge spray primer formula to new colours to make your hobby easier, quicker, and provide you with the perfect foundation for your paint scheme.
In our trademark XL-Sized 500ml cans, perfect for army projects, with the smooth, consistent finish that makes finding the right primer for your paint scheme as easy as using it!
So, without further gilding the lily, and with no more ado, we give to you… Our 2026 Core Range Expansion!
Beastiary Brown
A warm, mid brown tone and great utility primer that will be perfect for leathers, heavy furs, and dark woods. Colour matched to the ever popular Mournfang Brown acrylic paint, Beastiary Brown will quickly become a go to for many hobbyists.
Caste Ochre
A vibrant yellow-brown that provides a brilliant foundation for lighter colour schemes. Colour matched to Tau Light Ochre, this primer will cover your desert camouflage needs and, of course, armour for ambitious, expansionist empires.
Warmonger Green
A muted green the colour of a dark verdigris. Colour matched to Sons of Horus Green and so the ultimate primer for heretical gangers masquerading as noble legionaries.
Dissenter Green
A distinctive teal green, colour matched to Kabalite Green and expanding our range of greens into that end of the spectrum. Perfect for sci-fi armour plating, terrain, and much more.
Kobalos Green
A light green that is close to the classic Goblin Green. A colour match to Warboss Green and perfect for lighter orc and goblin schemes.
Patriarch Purple
A rich plum colour that sits at the other end of the purple spectrum to our existing primer. Colour matched to Vallejo Model Color Purple 70.959. This is our first primer colour matched to a non Games Workshop acrylic paint.
Phantom White
A great off white, colour matched to Corax White. Perfect as a foundation for very light grey schemes and a quick way to paint white by just adding some edge highlights.
Satin Varnish
The newest addition to our technical sprays and our second varnish. This Satin Varnish will add a way to protect your brilliant paint schemes with a balanced finish.

On Sale This Weekend!
This Core Range Expansion will go on a limited time, early bird sale at UK Games Expo and direct from The Colour Forge website* for the weekend of 29th May 2026, while stocks last.
Following this limited release, pre-orders will run from Monday 1st June until Thursday 2nd July 2026 when the Core Range Expansion will join the rest of our range on general sale through The Colour Forge website and your Friendly Local Gaming Store.
